Another Evening Walk
I was a bit bored yesterday. I had originally wanted to go to the book store to pick up a book I had been thinking about, but decided not to. I don’t really need it and I have this impulse buy thing going on that I have been trying to stop. And I have been doing pretty damn good!!
Hubby came home from work and we got settled in and watched EUREKA for a while. We got to about the third or fourth episode of the night and I just need to get out of the house. The boy was acting up, which he does when he’s bored, and it was getting on my nerves. So we went for a walk around the block, through the woods, over a bridge that runs across a little creek of standing, smelly water (people actually swim in this stuff *gag*) across the street from my complex, and then home.
From there, we went to the high school (where my husband works) and just farted around the fields for a while.

The sun was going down and it was nice and cool out, so we thought why not. Get the boy’s energy out!

And this was a rare occurrence, but I actually got a pretty decent shot of my husband. And he doesn’t even look grumpy! He looks normal!! I was kinda giddy after this achievement. I even went so far as to make it all fancy and special looking because it will probably never happen again.

In all we had a pretty good night, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. And this is coming from someone who pretty much hates to go out into public. I had fun. And my family did as well. We’re definitely making this a common thing with our nights. ^.^

I love having relaxing evenings with family. Life sometimes gets the better of us, and we end up feeling and acting grumpy. Getting rid of that cabin fever makes us feel good too. Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like a great relaxing evening
A great way to spend an evening for sure!
love that night sky! and how fun would that sand hill be!
Love the shot of the sky! How much sand did your little one have in his jeans that night?
Oh he had quite a lot xD And in his shoes too!
I know exactly what you mean about getting a decent non-grumpy shot of your husband. It’s a huge achievement for me when I can get my hubby to look normal in pictures. Generally, he looks like he’s been forced on the pain of death to stand in front of the camera!
Beautiful photography! I love what you did with the red.
It really is the little things that make life great.
Glad you had such a nice evening!
that sky was beautiful!! and my husband doesn’t smile EVER for pictures. i understand
Good for you! Nice work with the photography!
Thanks!
Looked like a beautiful sunset, and yes, very nice picture of your husband =)
I love evening walks! They’re the best.
Sounds like a nice night!

Sounds like a great evening! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Those kinds of nights are the best! We we’re able to have one of those Sunday night & it was much needed!
Glad you had a good night!
Always nice to have those family nights!
Great sunset photo! I love summer evening walks!
Oh, I’m relaxing just reading that post. Gorgeous photos of what sounds like an awesome evening!
I love the idea of a family walk at night!
It’s difficult to get up and out after settling in, especially if you have some anxiety about going out. I’ve settled in on a Friday night and then realized time had passed and it was Sunday!
Good job on passing on the impulse buy and better job on the photos. Love the red in the photo of your husband.
That sunset photo is breathtaking. I love pics like that.
lovely photos – really captures the mood – very summertime and happy!
Sounds like a wonderful afternoon! I’ve been such a hermit lately – haven’t gotten out in awhile. I really need to be better about that!
